How Dankochen Uses Pixel Art GIFs for NFT Brand Growth

How Dankochen Uses Pixel Art GIFs for NFT Brand Growth

The pixel art style has become very popular in recent years, especially with the rise of NFTs. By making pixels move, artists turned basic pictures into fun, looping animations, changing how people share, collect, and talk about digital art. The ability to create unique GIFs allowed artists to reach a wider audience.

One of the biggest names doing this is Dankochen. Dankochen realized that GIFs do something pictures can’t: they catch your eye instantly and become a part of everyday conversations.

Dankochen focuses on animating and supporting popular NFT projects like Normies, Parodee, and PoSers. By taking static NFTs and turning them into GIFs, the creator helps these projects reach massive new audiences.

“I created my first gif in 2022 and it was to support an NFT project (PoSers, 24x24px) I was involved with. I was feeling the need to do my part in spreading that project to masses,” says Daniil. “After 3 years this feeling evolved and caught me once again but with more enthusiasm so I started using GIF search platforms to post my animations. My current mood is: I see a Normie - I want to animate it, I want to show others what I see looking at these static images, I want to add some value. This is my part in contributing to our overall success in the space, I feel the need to spread our vibes across other people here and now. Loaded a little over 200 GIFs at the moment and not gonna stop.”
